Show i Funeral Services Held ForCeliaVanBuren Funeral services for Cella Van Buren, prominent resident of Parowan, who passed away at her home here on Wednesday, Feb. 25, were held Saturday at 2 p. m. in the Parowan Third Ward chapel. Bishop George F. Rowley of the Second Ward conducted con-ducted the services and Mrs. Itha Mortensen was at the organ for prelude and postlude music. Speakers at the services were Mario Topham, Barbara M. Adams and W. Clair Rowley with brief opening remarks by Bishop Rowley. The Invocation was offered of-fered by Thomas H. Rowley, thel benediction was by Thomas K. Holyoak and the grave In the city cemetery was dedicated by a brother of the deceased, John H. Pendleton. Another brother, F. Warren Tendleton, offered the prayer at the home prior to the services. Musical numbers on the program pro-gram included the opening and closing songs, "Our Father Which Art in Heaven," and "Lead Me Gently Home," respectively, by a mixed quartet consisting of Ramcr.a Stubbs. Ola Robinson, Bert-i Burton. Shirley Evans, He- ber Gurr, Harold Mitchell, Verl Taylor and Claude Orton, with Itha Mortonson at he piano; a vocal solo, 'That Wonderful Mother of Mine," by Pres. How-ard How-ard Knight, with Ramona Stubbs at the piano, and a song , "I Walked Today Where Jesus Walked," by a ladies trio, consisting con-sisting of Ramona Stubbs, Elna Stubbs and Shirley Evans, with Mrs. Mortensen at the piano. |
