Show Beryl Woman Buried In Cedar City After Poisoning Death Funeral services were conducted conduct-ed at the Beryl schoolhouse Sunday afternoon for Mrs. Bertie Ber-tie Viscerra, 51, who died at the Iron County hospital early Thursday, Thurs-day, July 10, of poisoning. Burial was made in the Cedar City cemetery under the direction direc-tion of the Southern Utah mortuary. mor-tuary. Mrs. Viscerra, after having taken the poison, was found on I the floor of her home by her hus-i hus-i band, John Viscerra when he ' returned from work. He rushed her to the Cliff Quinn residence i in Beryl and then to the hospi- tal in Cedar City, where she died from the effects of the poison. Mrs. Visrerra was born in Seminole, Okla., March 8, 1901, a daughter of Henry F and Emma Stagg Brinsfield. She married John Viscerra in Lords-burg, Lords-burg, N. M., in June, 1945. They moved to Beryl in 1948 and had resided there since. She is survived by her husband hus-band and father, a son, Bailey Sivils, Shawnee, Okla.; two daughters, Mrs. Opal Powell, San Diego, Calif., and Mrs. Violet Ur-sulom, Ur-sulom, Los Angeles, Calif. Also surviving is a grandson, Bille Sivils. |
