Show Health department opens Bountiful nursing services be held on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays whereas previously they were held on a twice weekly basis. The following is a brief description descrip-tion of nursing division services and their corresponding times and schedules: Immunization Clinics: The health department has been part of a statewide campaign that encourages vaccination of school-age children, particularly those between the ages of two and five. In addition, the county provides influenza vaccinations vaccina-tions to the general population during dur-ing the fall. Immunizations may be acquired on Tuesdays, 1-4:30 p.m, or Thursdays Thurs-days 8:30-12 a.m., at the Farm-ington Farm-ington clinic. The Bountiful and Clearfield clinics provide im. munizations services on Mondays j Wednesdays and Fridays between the hours of 1-4:30 p.m. Well Child Clinics: The well child clinic provides medical services ser-vices to children under five years of age. For more information contact the health department's nursing division at 451-3315. Cholesterol Testing: The health department provides initial screening screen-ing of total cholesterol with appropriate ap-propriate counseling and recommendations recom-mendations for follow-up. Lipid panels (cholesterol, triglyceride, HDL, LDL) are also available upon request. Cholesterol testing and counseling counsel-ing can be made by appointment. Screenings are conducted each Thursday at the Farmington clinic between the hours of 1-4:30 p.m. STD Clinic: individuals seeking additional information regarding services for sexually transmitted diseases may contact the county's nursing division by calling 451-3315. Mary Meredith, director of the county's nursing division has indicated in-dicated that as of April 1, the health deoartment will be expanding its services by providing additional clinic times at its county health clinics. "It's our intent to make our services ser-vices more convenient and accessible accessi-ble to those who really need the services," noted Meredith. Currently services are being provided pro-vided at three locations within the county. The nursing division's main offices are located in the basement floor of the Davis County Courthouse Court-house in Farmington. In addition, there are two satellite clinics. The Clearfield clinic, 1034 S. 1000 E., is adjacent to the Clearfield Clear-field Municipal Pool. The new Bountiful clinic, 280 N. Main, is located next to the now existing Duncan Electric Supply building. Meredith noted that the most noteworthy changes in services will be the addition of a morning clinic at the Davis County Courthouse and the extension of services at the Bountiful and Clearfield clinics.
