Show 1 THIRTY-ONE NEW SENATORS TO BE SWORN IN Washington, Jan. 20. In the event of the reelection of Senator Albert J. Hopkins of Illinois, eighteen of the tblrty-one United States senators, v. hose terms expire with that of Theodore Theo-dore Roosevelt, president of the United Unit-ed States, on March 4 next, will be sworn In to succeed themselves. Among the thirteen new senators Is iiu-iuded former Governor Cummins nf Iowa, who Is now serving out the unexpired term of the late Senator Allison. Al-lison. The new senators to the senate will be: Wesley L. Jones, Washington; Theo. E. Burton. Ohio; George E. Chamberlain, Chamber-lain, Oregon; E. D. Smith, South Curolina; M. N. Johnson, North Dakota; Da-kota; Benj. F. Shiveley, Indiana; Coe I. Crawford, South Dakota; Joseph L. Bristow, Kansas; W. O. Bradley, Kf-ntucky; ex-Governor Fletcher, Florida; EHhu Root, New York; Charles J. Hughes. Jr., Colorado; A. H. Cummins, Iowa. Senators Brandegee of Connecticut, Clarke of Arkansas, Clay of Georgia, Dillingham of Vermont, Galltnger of Now Hampshire, Gore of Oklahoma, Hey burn of Idaho, Johnson of Alabama, Ala-bama, McEnerney of Louisiana. New-lands New-lands of Nevada. Overman of North Curolina, Penrose of Pennsylvania, Perkins of California, Smoot of Utah, Smith of Maryland, Stephenson of Wisconsin.
