Show EIGHTH MOON OF PLANET JUPITER PHOTOGRAPHED Boston. Jan. 21. According to a cable message received at the Harvard observatory, the Greenwich observatory observa-tory has been successful in taking a photograph of the eighth moon of Jupiter. The photograph shows that the position of the satellite coincides almost exactly with 'its theoretical position po-sition as calculated soon after Its discovery. dis-covery. "This eighth, satellite Is. very taint and only observable because 'Jupiter hns been nearer the sun than usual," said Professor C. Wendell of the Harvard Har-vard observatory. "The satellite has been photographed but few times and the determination of its position now accords with previous computations of its position by astronomical methods. |
