Show Bride Entertained Mrs. Volney Boswell. of Mt. Emmons, and Mrs, Vendetta Clark, of Altonah, entertained at a shower for Mrs. Max Clark, Saturday, Jan. 6. at the Mt. Emmons ward house, The bride is the former Arlene Boa-well. Boa-well. She and Max are making their home in Salt Lake where both have employment. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Ward and family have moved back to their home in Marysville. Mr. Ward has been employed by the L. A. Young Construction Co. on the Altamont-Upalco road. Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Rogers and children, of Salt Lake, visited vis-ited with Mr. and Mrs. George Rogers last week. Leon Atwood visited over the week-end with his uncles and aunts, Mr. and Mrs! George Rogers and Mr, and Mrs, Leonard Leon-ard Wall. Leon's parents, Mr. and Mrs, Leslie Atwood recently recent-ly moved from Mt, Emmons to Midvale. He reported Monday for Army service. Other Mt. Emmons boy? to leave Monday for the service were Arnold Powell and Raymond Ray-mond Lister. Arnold is the son . nf Mrs I.aVerda Powell and Raymond's parents are Mr. and Mrs. Carl Lister. Mr. and Mrs. Ben C. Gomm, teachers at Altamont, report that their son, Bryant, is being inducted into the Army - this week. Bryant, a graduate of the A. C, has been teaching school in Idaho. The Gomms own a home here, but spend their summers in Star Valley, Wyo. Mr. and Mrs. Bob Stevenson and Mr. and Mrs. Jay Wall, of Salt Lake City, spent the weekend week-end with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Wall. George Rogers submitted to an operation for sinus trouble in Salt Lake on Wednesday of last week, Mr. and Mrs. Wiimer Murray and baby, of Myton. and Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Carrell and children, of Upalco, were dinner din-ner guests, Sunday, of Mr. and Mrs. George Rogers. |
