Show I Dairy Herds Qf County Will Gradually Improve Duchesne county dairy herds are expected to ' be improved by the method of artificial breeding now being practiced in two areas of the counly. re ports Louis A. Jensen, county Insemmators, who will serve the two areas adopting the practice prac-tice are Clyde Lisonbee. Bluebell, Blue-bell, and Charles Edwards, of Roosevelt. Both recently attended attend-ed a school training course at Cache Valley to qualify them for this insemination work. Owners of dairy cows in either eith-er area are invited to use the service. A farmer with but one or two cows may use the service ser-vice without becoming a member mem-ber of the association. But dairymen dairy-men with five or more cows are required to pay a $10 membership member-ship fee, providing him with a lifetime membership in the Cache Valley Breeding Association. Assoc-iation. Some 1500 cows have been signed-up on contracts for service ser-vice in the county. This includes approximately 900 cows in the Bluebell area and 600 in the Roosevelt area. Fee for service is $7 per cow in the Bluebell area, and $8 per cow in the Roosevelt district. |
