Show L.D.S. Ward Buys Elementary School The Altonah ward L D S church has purchased the elementary ele-mentary school house and lot. A number of church members and American Legion members cleaned up the building so they could use the class rooms. Bill Ostler, of Roosevelt, was at the Gilbert Beebe ranch Friday, Fri-day, where he purchased a registered reg-istered Aberdeen-Angus bull. Mr. and Mrs. Grant Smith and family, who have been in Colorado for some time have moved back to Altonah. Walter Remington, field deputy dep-uty assessor, was in town Saturday. Sat-urday. Mrs. Delmar Ivie and baby, of Strawberry, is staying' at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Clark, since their home was destroyed by fire last Tuesday. Miss Eldora Clark is visiting with her sisters, Mrs. LaFond Thompson, of Heber, and Mrs. Noro Turnbow, of Keetley, for awhile. Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Bowden was called again to Salt . Lake City Saturday when Mrs. Bow-den's Bow-den's father became worse. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Smith and daughter Barbara spent Sunday visiting with Mr. and Mrs. ' Willard Smith, of Myton. I- ?The . people of Altonah . are happy to hear that Bert Smith, son of Mr. and Mrs. Willard Smith is recovering from in- juries received in a car accident acci-dent Dec. 26. The Willard Smith family formerly lived here. Lawrence Ward and George Mendenhall, of Mt. Emmons, visited Sunday school this week. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Lindsey and family, of Mt. Home, were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Ralnhs Sunday afternoon. Mrs. Glade Timothy returned home Friday from a visit in Murray and Salt Lake City. Ray Lambert, who has found employment at Tod Park, came in over the week-end to get his wife. They went back Sunday. |
