Show Painting Lesson , At Relief Society j The Relief Society enjoyed a lesson in textile painting Tuesday Tues-day of last week, given by Mrs. Eksund, Relief Society president. presi-dent. Mr and Mrs. Manfred Arnold and son are spending the week in Salt Lake and Spanish Fork, where Mr. Arnold is attending school. Shirley Kay Jacobs is home from school for a couple of days on account of a severe cold. Shirley is the daughter of Naomi Na-omi Jacobs. Robert Allred fell and injured himself quite badly, Thursday of last week. He is confined to his bed. Mr. and Mrs. Orin Williams, of Vernal, visited with his sister, sis-ter, Mrs. Lucy Duvall, last Sunday. Sun-day. Mrs. Duvall is slowly improving im-proving from a broken leg suffered suf-fered over two months ago. Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Duvall Du-vall and Mr. and Mrs. Lowell Duvall, of Salt Lake and Bountiful, Boun-tiful, spent Sunday with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Alex Duvall. Du-vall. Mr. and Mrs. Lee Mercer and Mrs. Elvira Schlegel, of Min-turn, Min-turn, Colorado, arrived Saturday Satur-day to help care for Mrs. Francis Fran-cis Semken, who injured her leg recently in a fall. She has been released from the Roosevelt hospital hos-pital after a 10-day stay, and is now convalescing at home. Mr. and Mrs. Mercer returned to Colorado Monday. Mrs. Schlegel will stay here with her sister for awhile. . . Mrs. Lucy Duvall went to Salt Lake City Tuesday for a general check-up. It has been over two months since she was injured when struck by a car as she was crossing highway 40. Ervin Young, of Leota, and Neal Domgaard made a business trip to Salt Lake Thursday of last week, returning on Friday. Little John Pappas. son of Mr. and Mrs. Nick Pappas, is quite ill with asthma. |
