Show Mrs. Grace Dalgleish American Legion j& Auxiliary Meet The American Legion and Auxiliary, Wm. R. Sands Post and Unit 5, held their regular meetings at the barracks Friday Fri-day evening. ! Following the regular order of business, the membership committee reported on their drive for 1951 membership. Plans were made for a joint social so-cial gathering to be held Friday, Fri-day, January 26th at the home of Mr. and Mis. Milton Lott. Mr. and Mrs. Reuben Snyder returned last week from a visit with relatives and friends m Salt Lake City. I Mrs. A C. Tolboe is spend-I spend-I ing much of her time at the 1 bedside of her grandmother, ,1Mrs. Nebeker, who is seriously ' ill at the Roosevelt hospital. Mrs. Nebeker is the mother of Stanley Nebeker, a former Myton My-ton resident now living at Ft: Duchesne. Mr and Mrs. James Dalgleish entertained their bridge club I at a Sunday night supper at I their home Sunday evening. ! Guests present were Mr. and I Mrs. Floyd Lamb, Mr. and Mrs. I Homer Robinson, Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Linck, Mr. and Mrs. Mil-I Mil-I ton Lott, Miss Alice Todd and I Lee Cooper. Prizes were won by Mrs. Lamb, Mr. Lott, Mrs. Robinson Rob-inson and Mr. Linck. Bert Smith, who was gravely injured in an automobile accident acci-dent recently and has been confined con-fined to the Veterans hospital in Salt Lake City was sufficiently suffi-ciently recovered to return to Myton Friday. He is convalescing convales-cing at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Willard Smith, 1 and will return later to the hospital hos-pital for 'additional treatment, i Floyd Clark, who was injured in the same accident as Bert i Smith, is still confined to the I Veterans hospital, but is able to be around the hospital for short periods. Mr. and Mrs. Ed Hart, of Duchesne Du-chesne visited their daughter and 'son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. James Dalgleish, Thursday. I Mrs. Matt Uresk, Sr. who has been receiving medical attention at the Standardville hospital during the past two weeks was able to .be returned home Sunday. Sun-day. Mr. and Mrs. John Uresk, her son and daughter-in-law, went to Standardville to bring her home. Miss Iona Snyder has returned return-ed to Provo to resume her studies stud-ies at the B.Y.U. I Mr. and Mrs. -Max Peterson are the proud parents of an in-; in-; fant daughter, born Monday, Jan. 15, at the Roosevelt hos-i hos-i pital. The young mother is the i former Betty Lisonbee, a daugh- ter of Mr. and Mrs. Merrill Lisonbee. Lis-onbee. ; Mrs. Ed Borg was the honored hon-ored guest at a miscellaneous shower Saturday afternoon at the L.D.S. ward chapel. The bride, the former ' Elva Tanner, ' daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Tanner, was the recipient of ' many lovely gifts presented by the host of friends who were present. Games and refreshments refresh-ments were enjoyed. " Announcement has been re- I ceived of the arrival of a baby ' daughter, born to Mr. and Mrs. Bruce B. Hall on Christmas morning at the Holy Cross hospital hos-pital in Salt Lake City. Mrs. Hall is the former Laurel Snyder, Sny-der, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Reuben C. Snyder. The new baby will be called Carolyn Kae. Vernon Brummett, son of Mrs. Alice Brummett, left Monday Mon-day for Salt Lake City, one of the Duchesne county quota to be inducted into the service of his country. He recently returned re-turned from California where he had been working, to spend a little time with his mother and family before entering the service. Ralph Jenson, Wesley Jen-son Jen-son and Jennings Solmonson went to Salt Lake City Monday Mon-day to be at the Salt Lake coliseum coli-seum Monday night when Utah's Rex Layne met Big Bill Roberts, Rob-erts, of Indianapolis, in a 10-round 10-round boxing bout. Mr. and Mrs. Rex Lamb accompanied ac-companied Mr. and Mrs. Homer Petersen, of D-elta, on a trip to Denver, Colorado, leaving Saturday. They will enjoy the stock show while there. Mrs Peterson is a daughter of Mr and Mrs. Floyd Lamb. Mr. and Mrs. Lavar Peterson and children went to Heber Wednesday, where Mr. Peterson Peter-son transacted business, returning return-ing that evening. i |
