Show Lend A Hand!.... Polio Drive is Active Films To Be Shown "Mothers' March on Polio" is the slogan adopted for the local infantile paralysis drive, which got underway Monday, announced an-nounced Mrs. Ned Bellon this week, chairman for Roosevelt. The campaign will continue until un-til January 31, with the final drive to be made by the mothers, moth-ers, with the porchlight slogan. "Turn On Your Light and Fight Polio Tonight," to climax the annual drive. Assisting Mrs. Bellon with the local campaign are Mrs. Floyd Labrum and Mrs. Anthon Christensen. Chris-tensen. .rl Mrs. Bellon stated that the polio money containers have been placed in the local stores and solicits citizens' support for this very timely effort to raise money to fight the dread disease. dis-ease. Civic clubs have been asked to conduct white elephant sales, and the American Legion reports that they will have a Christmas tie auction to raise ' funds. On Thursday, Friday and Saturday Sat-urday of this week, special polio po-lio films will be shown in the Roosevelt theatre, announces Howard Harrison, manager. According to Mrs. Harold Dillman, county chairman for the March of Dimes drive, films will also be shown in surrounding surround-ing communities. Following is a list of town chairmen, who were not listed previously: Myton, Grant Peel; Mtn. Home, Leland Stevenson; Altonah, Mrs. Ruby Fowler and Mrs. Marion Reese; Upalco, Mrs. E. L. Murphy; Boneta. Mrs. Doris Christensen. Chairmen for 3ri.igelur.d and Arcadia are yet to be named. |
