Show Mrs. Mable Jenkins Fireside Chat Held Sunday Night A Fireside chat was held Sunday evening after Sacrament meeting at the home of Vella Rasmussen The Mia-Maids were hostesses. The meeting was conducted con-ducted by Glee Wardle. Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Hor-rocks Hor-rocks and Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Horrocks attended the wedding reception of Mr. and Mrs. Glade Anderson Friday evening in the Maeser ward chapel. Mrs. Anderson An-derson is a granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Horrocks and a niece of Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Horrocks. Mr. and Mrs Chris Miller, of Delta, and Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Jo-seph Horrocks visited Mr. and Mrs. D e 1 b e r t Horrocks last week. The meeting Sunday evening was under the direction of the genealogical committee. Speakers Speak-ers were Rulen Rasmussen, Lor-yn Lor-yn Ross, Tridell, and Vella Rasmussen. Ras-mussen. Rex Jenkins is home from Wyoming where he went to spend the- winter working in the oil fields. n John Wardle went to Salt Lake, Jan. 9', on a business trip. Shirl Kump and David Burgess Bur-gess went to Salt Lake City, Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Merrell Rasmussen Ras-mussen came home Tuesday from Salt Lake City, where Mr. Rasmussen had a major operation. opera-tion. Mrs. Mannie Rasmussen, Vera Bigelow, Lillie Bigelow and Vel-ma Vel-ma Perry attended Primary Union Un-ion meeting at the stake center in Vernal Thursday evening1. Tommy Hacking left Fort Douglas Wednesday enroute to a training camp in Texas. Mr. and Mrs. Donald Rasmussen Rasmus-sen are the parents of a 4 lb baby girl, born Jan. 1 in a Logan Lo-gan hospital. No school was held in La-point La-point Monday, because of a lack of electrical power. Teachers Thelma Lee, Frances Horrocks, Georgie Thompson and Cynthia Taylor visited the schools in Vernal. A surprise party was given in honor of Jennie Neilson on her 30th birthday. Those who attended at-tended were Mr. and Mrs. Frank Huber, Mr. and Mrs. LaMont Neilson, Mr. and Mrs. Chuck Taylor, Mrs. Vern Neilson, Eliza Neilson, Mr. and Mrs. Clair Burton and Mr. and Mrs. Tex Burton. She received many gifts. A plate lunch was served to eighteen. A birthday party was given for Dale Hayes Thursday eve-ling, eve-ling, Jan. 4, at the home of his I mother, Mrs. Wilma Bingham, commemorating his 18th anni- Iversary. Games were played and a plate lunch was served to 18 guests. |
