Show Roosevelt Lions Host Duchesne Hare January 11 The Roosevelt Lions club last Thursday evening entertained enter-tained the membership of the Duchesne club as the two gfoups met at the Frontier Grill for a dinner meeting and to hear an address by Dean C. Christensen, superintendent of schools for Duchesne county, who discussed the financial problems of the county's schools. Presiding over the meeting was Lawrell Jensen, president of the Roosevelt club. Leading the visiting club from Duchesne was Alphonse Madsen, president. presi-dent. According to Mr. Jensen, the local Lions group have been almost assured of the zone meeting meet-ing of the clubs in Utah, which will be held about March 1. Alva Snow, chairman of the education committee, and Ed Labrum, convention committee chairman, are working together to try to bring the meeting to Roosevelt. ' At the semi-monthly meeting Jan. 11, various projects of the local club were discussed; some were reported in the positive stage and some still in the making. mak-ing.
