Unable to complete arguments en the latter petition, commissioners commission-ers continued the hearing until November No-vember 9. Arguments on the first application were taken under advisement ad-visement Dr. George A. Allen, owner of an eight-acre tract near Thirteenth East street and Westminster avenue, ave-nue, asked the board to lower the zoning regulation from classification classifica-tion A to B-2 to permit construction construc-tion of multiple family residences. His original petition was amended to eliminate any part of the tract facing on Westminster avenue or Thirteenth East street. Led by LaMar Duncan, 1898 Fifteenth Fif-teenth East street a group of citizens citi-zens vigorously protested the requested re-quested change, asserting It would "tear down the value of property In a radius of one mile." D. K. Rawllngs, 1651 Wasatch circle, led a list of petitioners seeking seek-ing to raise the zoning classification classifica-tion from B-3 to A on four corners of the Thirteenth South and Seventeenth Sev-enteenth East street Intersection. |
