Show WATERS ON RAMPAGE. Ogden River Is Unusually High and Damage Is Being Done. Special to The Tribune. OGDEN. May 20. Some damage resulted re-sulted and the service of tho Ogden Rapid Transit company on Its canyon line was Interrupted today by thc high water of the Ogdcn river. It. Is declared i that the stream has never been higher and thc county commissioners fear that serious damage to the county road through the canyon will result unless tho water subsides within the next twenty-four twenty-four hours. Thc most sorloiif trouble today occurred oc-curred at a point a short distance below be-low tho Pecry summer home. Hero the water washed away tho railroad embankment em-bankment until a number of ties wore left unsupported. No cars were operated over thc dnngor point until several carloads car-loads of rock had been dumped into the stream to turn tho current away from llv hank. At other points thc water in 'splashing over the platforms of thc bridges with tho, accompanying danger that thov will ho carried away. Commissioner O. B. Madson and County Clerk Samuel G Dye wero called to Marriott and Slatervlllo today, tho water wa-ter of the Weber river having overflowed thc batiks and a further rise will result in great damage to crops In thoso lo- j calitics.
