Show Funeral Services For Thelma Cluff Held Last Thursday Impressive funeral rites were held last Thursday for Thelma L. Cluff, who died earlier in the week at an American Fork Hospital. The services began at 1 p.m. In the Grove Ward Chapel with Bishop Bish-op Karl N. Butler conducting. Invocation In-vocation was offered by Bishop Welby Gammon, a cousin. A vocal solo. "O My Father," was sung by Howard Anderson, accompanied by Mrs. Anderson. A sketch of the life of Mrs. Cluff, written by her sister, was read by Mrs. H. S. Walker. Speakers who paid 'tribute to the useful life of Mrs. Cluff and expressed words of faith and encouragement en-couragement to her family were former Bishop LeGrande Adiam-son Adiam-son of Highland Ward, and Harold S. Walker, former bishop of the Grove Ward. Musical numbers were a vocal duet, "In the Garden," by Mrs. Vera Larson and Marie Johnson, and a vocal solo "Beyond the Sunset," Sun-set," by August Johnson. After closing words of sympathy and appreciation by Bishop Butler, benediction was pronounced by George James, a cousin. Prelude and postlude organ music was played by Mrs. Karl Butler. Interment was made in the Pro-vo Pro-vo City burial park, where H. Gordon Gor-don (Larson, a brother, offered the dedicatorial prayer. Pallbearers, all cousins, were Leland Gammon, Bernard Anderson, Allen Berrett, James McCloy, Max Engles, Ralph McCloy. Flowers -were cared for and arranged: by the Grove Ward Relief Society. |
