Show Cancer Drive to Start in P.G. Monday, Apr. 1 The drive for Cancer Fund donations do-nations in the Pleasant Grove City area will open Monday, April 1, and continue intensively for two weeks, according- to George Smith, drive chairman. "The drive nationally na-tionally extends throughout the month of April, but we hope to have the work done by April 15, Mr. Smith said. i The actual home contacts have been organized on a Ward basis, with a chairman and approximately approximate-ly 18 workers in each unit. Chairmen Chair-men of the various committees are as follows; First Ward, Lois Smith; Second Ward, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Hilton; Third Ward, Ruth Robb; Fourth Ward, Fawn Fordham; Fifth Ward, Joyce Jacobs; Sixth Ward, Maxine Price and Grove Ward, Mavis Hamilton. Between now and April 15 special spec-ial films will be shown at our schools and clubs. These shows wall describe the early symptoms of cancer and will serve to explain to the public that cancer is not to be hysterically feared; but to be intelligently in-telligently fought, Mr. Smith concluded. |
