Show Merrill N. Warnick Retires as President of ADA After 2 Terms Mr. and Mrs. Men-ill N. Wamick Wam-ick returned Thursday from Chicago, Chi-cago, where they attended the annual an-nual meetings of the American Dairy Association. Mr. Warnick received a citation and the trophy for distinguished sei-vice for two terms as president of the American Ameri-can Daily Association. Succeeding Mr. Warnick as president pres-ident is the foamer vice president, Lyman McKee of Madison, Wisconsin, Wiscon-sin, a successful Guernsey breeder. breed-er. The new vice president is Bill Hitz of Polk City, Iowa. Mr. Warnick presided at the earlier meetings until Mr. McKee was officially initiated. The citation and the bronze trophy tro-phy was presented to Mr. Warnick Warn-ick at the banquet at the Congress Hotel where Mr. and Mrs. Warnick occupied the president's suite. Mrs. Wamick was also honored and presented with an orchid corsage. cor-sage. Among the many phases of the convention Mrs. Warnick was par ticularly interested in the reports given in film and speech in a Disneyland report of the ADA barn and the panel discussion, which featured Miss Miller of Campbell's Soup Co., Mary Lee Duehring, representing Betty Crocker; Croc-ker; Helen Rudd of General Foods, Ema Nibley, National Biscuit Co., and Lois Ross of Quaker Oats. This whole affair is in connection with the National observance of ADA'S 50 Years of Industiy. On Saturday prior to the ADA meetings Mr. and Mrs. Wamick flew from Chicago to St. Louis, where they were met by their son, Lt. Robert Wamick, who drove them to his home at Scotts Air Force Base, where they visited overnight ov-ernight and Sunday with Lt. and Mrs. Warnick and children an.'l had the privilege of attending LDS conference there. Another pleasant experience was attending the stage play "The Matchmaker" at the Blackstone Theatre in Chicago. I |
