Show Funeral Rites for Sarah Park Hooley Held Wednesday Sarah M. Park Hooley, 86, lifelong life-long resident of the Pleasant Grove area, died Sunday at her home of causes incident to age. She was born April 19, 1870 in Pleasant Grove, a daughter of Samuel Wallace and Sarah Jane Taylor Park. She .received her education ed-ucation in Pleasant Grove schools, and married Alonzo Hooley, March 8, 1886, in Pleasant Grove. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple. They celebrated cel-ebrated their 71st wedding anniversary anni-versary earlier this month. Mrs. Hooley was an active member mem-ber of the LDS Church, working in the Relief Society where she served in the presidency -for several years and was visiting teacher most of her adult life. Surviving are six sons and three daughters, Will, Arnold, Verlond, and Roy Hooley, all of Lindon; Lee and Leonard Hooley, both of Orem; Mrs. Ray (Merle) Kirk, Midvale; Mrs. Arnold (Delila) Clegg, Provo and1 Mrs. Walther (Melda) Pinkerman, American Fork; 54 grandchildren, over 100 great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, March 27, at 1 p.m. in the Lindon Second Ward Chapel Chap-el under the direction of Willis Larsen, counselor in the bishopric. Prayer at the Mortuary was given by A. L. Cullimore. Prelude music was played by Rena Keetch and ibhe invocation offered by Bishop Orval C. Baw-den. Baw-den. A vocal duet, Patricia Seely, Jean Walker, accompanied by Laurel Thome, was "Beyond the Sunset." . Speakers were A. H. Lowe, Stanley Stan-ley Harris and Alroy Gillman. An organ selection "I'll take My Vacation in Heaven" was played play-ed by Joan Frandsen and the vocal duet sang another number, "That Wonderful Mother of Mine." Benediction was given by Reed C. Gillman, while the 'grave was dedicated by Preston L. Atwood. Pallbearers were Douglas Hool-ev. Hool-ev. Glen Kirk, Harold Hooley, Lon Hooley, Howard Harper & Wilford Hooley. Flowers were cared for by the Lindon Second Ward Relief Society. |
