Show - ADDITION TO CITY Ordinance A portion of an ordinance was inadvertently omitted from one published for Roosevelt City in the January 10, 1952 issue of the Roosevelt Standard pertaining pertain-ing to the bond election held August 21, 1951 granting; the City of Roosevelt permission to extend and improve their present pres-ent water system. The part of the ordinance omitted was a proclamation as follows: Thereupon the following proclamation proc-lamation was issued by Mayor Homer P. Edwards and was ordered or-dered published. PROCLAMATION WHEREAS, on July 9. 1951, there was submitted to the City Council of City of Roosevelt an initiative petition requesting the enactment of an ordinance entitled en-titled "AN ORDINANCE providing pro-viding for additional water, water rights and for the construction con-struction of extensions and improvements im-provements to the municipally owned utility of the City of Roosevelt, consisting of a water plant and system; authorizing and providing for the issuance of $160,000.00 Water Revenue Bonds of said City for the purpose pur-pose of defraying the cost of the acquisition of such water rights and extensions and improvements; improve-ments; prescribing the form and other details of said bonds; confirming con-firming the sale thereof; providing provid-ing for the collection and disposition dis-position of the revenues of said utility; making other provisions with respect to the operations of said utility and the issuance of said bonds, and providing for the payment of said bonds," and ' WHEREAS, on said July 9, 1931. the City Council adopted said ordinance subject to a favorable fav-orable Vote of the qualified electors elec-tors of City of Roosevelt voting at a' special election to be called by the City Council; and -.WHEREAS, the City Council called a - special election to be held in said city on the 21st day of August. 1951, for the purpose pur-pose of submitting to the qualified qual-ified electors of City of Roosevelt Roose-velt the question of the approval of said ordinance; and WHEREAS, said election was duly and lawfully held and the results thereof have been canvassed can-vassed by the City Council and .. (Tw.rTT-tnnmi'jifNrariTgn-girslr'igl it has been determined that said election resulted in the approval of said ordinance by the qualified qual-ified electors by a vote of 252 in favor and 13 opposed; NOW THEREFORE, I, Homer 1 P. Edwards, the duly qualified and acting Mayor of City of Roosevelt, Duchesne County, Utah, do hereby declare and proclaim pro-claim said ordinance to be in full force and effect.
