Show POPULAR MO SIOW WILL CUBE TONIGHT Attendance at the Keith-O'Brien Keith-O'Brien Exhibit Has Been Unusually Large. Today and tonight will be the last chances for the crowds to look over the beautiful line of automobile splendor splen-dor at the Keith-O'Brien company show. Tonight will mark the closing of one of the most popular auto shows ever held in the state. Although the figures have not yet been announced, it is thought that the attendance throughout the week will set a new record for an event of this kind. Yesterday was "Ladies' day" and throngs of "women admired the advanced styles of design and luxurious interiors of the machines. There is a mystery connected with yesterday's show that is still to be solved, .but through much rushing around by the dealers during the morning morn-ing things were straightened out before noon and everything went along smooth-; 1. The trouble started when some one circulated the report that the dealers would give away free carnations to ! fvery woman that attended the show! during the day. No one seemed to know the source j of the rumor, but nevertheless the deal-! ors were i 1 game, 1 ' and although none of them made the promise all -kept it. i The trouble was not so much over1 where the rumor was born, however, but over the fact that as each dealer rushed to bis favorite florist shop to purchase! flowers he found that the supply was fast giving out and that the dealers who were lucky enough to got there be- i fore him had cornered the carnation market. Due to these unfortunate circumstances circum-stances some of the dealers were unable un-able to obtain the flowers and had to be content with seeiDg their neighbor dealers distributing the last of the town 's suppl'. Though no attempts have been made to sell the cars which are on display, many sales have been recorded throughout through-out the week. |
