Show WILSON AND MORRIS IN LEAD AT L. D. S. U. A straw vote of all the students and teachers of the L. D. S. university was held yesterday at noon. Wilson led Hughes in the national ballot by a safe marjin and Morris was the favorite gubernatorial nominee. The complete vote was: Wilson, 425; Hughes, 275; Benson, 4; Hanly, 1. Morris, 492-Bamberger, 492-Bamberger, 205. ' A straw vote of the American historv classes was held earlier in the dav, with the following results: Wilson, Hughes, 22; Hanly, 2; Benson, 0; Sutherland, Suth-erland, 29; King, 17; Morris. 35; Bamberger, Bam-berger, 13; Anderson, 38; Pratt, 6; Bradford, Brad-ford, 1. Speeches for the various candidates were made in the historv classes by the students and Professor . K. Seegmiller reauested that the students cast their ballots for the men of their choice on the big questions of the day. |
