Show BUSINESS REMAINS GOOD. Momentum Not Checked by Pending Elections or Increased Prices. NEW YORK. Nov. 3. Dun's Review tomorrow will say: "Neither the pending elections nor the persistent rise of prices have perceptibly reduced the momentum of the business movement. New buying for current and forward requirements still outstrips the facilities for both production and distribution, distribu-tion, labor conditions and the growing scarcity of materials acting as a brake on manufacturing in many directions. Car shortages are also a hindrance, and the consequent restriction of fuel supplies causps some concern. With shipments generally backward and the trend of prices continuing strongly upward, producers pro-ducers display greater reluctance in extending ex-tending commitments and an Increasing number of probable contracts are being reie' ted. Weekly bank clearings, $5,266,-352,321." |
