Show .J . j EXQUISITE blossoms, artistically arranged, ar-ranged, decorated the pretty home of Mrs. Harold Bransford Lamb in Douglas Park for a tea yesterday yester-day afternoon In compliment to Mrs. Edwin F. Holmes, -who will leave next week for Pasadena, Cal., to spend the winter. Pompom chrysanthemums In burgundy ehade were tied on the newell posts of the stairway at the entrance of the reception recep-tion hall. In the drawing room pedestals 1n Roman design were adorned with Boston Bos-ton ferns. The mantel was decorated with orchid-colored chrysanthemums and ferns, with a tall vase of American Beauty roses on a table at one side of the fireplace. The tea table in the dining' room had a mound of Ophelia roses in the center, r with satin ribbon in maize color to match the roses extending- over the cloth. Madam Sawver roses in pale pink were used on the buffet. Tn the sun parlor, where punch wa's served, gulden chrysan-' chrysan-' themums were used. Presiding at the tea table were Mrs. "Wallace Braneford, Mrs. Levis Evans, Mrs. D. W. Harcrow and Mrs. Jay T. Harris. One hundred and fifty guests were received between the hours of 4 and o'clock. "The City of Beautiful Nonsense" closed last night with a brilliant dancing party largely attended -by Salt Lake society so-ciety folks. Ltg-ht refreshments were eerved during the evening. The capacity of the large auditorium was taxed to its limit with tables for. a cabaret luncheon at noon yesterday. A number of clubs were entertained and individual in-dividual hostesses had parties of guests. The decorations were in bronze and yellow yel-low chrysanthemums. The decorations dec-orations were in chrysanthemums, roses and potted ferns and palms. The Beeeley orchestra furnished music. The guests were attired fn fantastic costumes, suggestive sug-gestive of hard times. Punch was served during the evening.
