Though both said they favored the ellmlnatlton of unnecessary expend! tures In public service, they recog I nlzed the fact that, at the present I time, the government should extend ils credit to every legitimate government activity tending to create useful employment, em-ployment, in order that the country might quickly come out of the depression depres-sion which has brought about much unemployment. Mr. Colton, from tho Ogden district, and Mr. Leatherwood, representing the Salt Lake constituency, in their talks, mado most favorable impres-Blon?. impres-Blon?. They are pleasing speakers, with clear-cut ideas of their duty to their country, and early should gain J recognition in the almost unwieidly : lower house of congress. |
