Show Thad Jolley Earns Eagle Scout Badge New Eagle scout Thad Earl Jolley being congratulated on his achievement by Scoutmaster Hoyce Pollock, while proud mom and dad, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Jolley, look on. Another Panguitch scout has taken wing as Thad Earl Jolley received his coveted eagle badge May 9 at the Panguitch LDS Stake Center. Jolley's eagle project was the cleaning and painting of the old bishop's storehouse on East Center Street. , Jolley is a member of Troop 681. He has attained a scout rank that only two percent of all scouts reach. He said that the badge that he enjoyed earning the most was the personal management badge. He credits his rise to eagle rank to his father who served as his mentor and his scoutmaster. Also to Royce Pollock who served as his Assistant Scoutmaster and now as Scoutmaster. Jolley, 17, a senior at Panguitch High School is an active student. He is Vice-President of the student body, seminary president, a member of the drama club, a sterling scholar, boy stater, a star in basketball, baseball and track. His parents Mr. and Mrs. Henry Jolley of Panguitch say that they "are very proud of him." His paternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Earl Jolley of Tropic and his maternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Wilson of Fillmore. |
