Show Tropic Topics Ella Adah-Mr. and Mrs. LaMar Feltner are the parents of a new baby boy, born in the Garfield Memorial Hospital May 14. Maureen Mangum has been a patient in the hospital this week. Ella Bybee and Dixie Shakespear were in Richfield with a group of senior citizens. The Clive Bybees had all of their children except Greg and KaeLynn home for Mothers Day. Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Adair, Mr. and Mrs. Ira Littlefield, Mr. and Mrs. Malen Littlefield, Mr. and Mrs. E. R. Shakespear and Margie Bee were with the senior citizens on the county trip May 14 and 15 to Bullfrog, Halls Crossing, Blanding, the Bridges, etc. Forty plus senior citizens from the county boarded vans and station wagons for the fun trip. Mr. and Mrs. Evan Chynoweth were recent Tropic visitors. Many out of town visitors were in Tropic for Mothers Day. A missionary testimonial for Richard Ott was held in the Tropic chapel. The program consisted of talks by his sister Clara, brother True, mother and father Louise and Stan" Ott and the missionary. Musical numbers were furnished by his sister Marilyn and Cassi Bybee, True Ott and his wife Joann. A dinner for the missionary was held in the Tropic Ward May 15th. Visiting the Stanley Ott family were son True and wife, Joann, daughters of Marilyn and Carla, Mr. and Mrs True Heywood, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Heywood, Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Heywood and Mr. and Mrs. Kevin Bybee, as well as several out . .. m relatives. Kimberly Ruesch spent the weekend with her parents, the Orlan Rueschs. She also visited sister Renone Bybee. Mr. and Mrs. Max Hodson and son Alan visited the Ray Littlefields. Hope Wintch was home for a few days. She will go on to Washington to visit daughter Mary. Mr. and Mrs. Afton Pollock were in St. George on business. They also visited her parents and got acquainted with the new mission president for their mission. They will be in Baggio, Phillipines. Bart Palmer made a business trip to Loa. Bill Stout is home for the summer, living in his parents' home and employed at Ahlstroms. Louise Shakespear, Springdale and Mr. and Mrs. Doug Shakespear visited Ora Brinkerhoff and Amplus LeFevre. Mr. and Mrs. Kay Marr Willis were home for the weekend. Ida Kennedy was happy to have her daughter and three grandsons from Provo spend the weekend with her. A fathers and sons outing will be held at Kodachrome State Park Friday night and Saturday. Membership for JoNeil Alvey was read in sacrament meeting. The DeVar Pollocks had daughter Linda home for a short visit. Mr. and Mrs. Harmon Shakespear were in Provo for medical checkups. Mr. and Mrs. Matland Baugh took son Dallen to Provo to enter the LDS Missionary Training Center. Several Tropic parents and boosters were at the state track meet, cheering the Bryce Valley contestants. |
