Show ' SOCIAL AND PERSONAL, t ; Mr. and Mrs. Robert Walker Salisbury, Salis-bury, who have spent the past three months abroad, landed in New York February 3, and were expected here Wednesday. They will be located for a time at the McCornick home. Mr. and Mrs. Salisbury sailed two weeks earlier than they expected, on account of the Paris flood. The many friends In the city of Mrs. P. L. Gleason, who left two weeks ago for Los Angeles, will be sorry to know that Saturday she was taken to a sanitarium In that city, seriously ill. Mrs. O. J. Salisbury was the hostesa at an informal bridge tea Monday afternoon at the Salisbury home in East Fifth South street. Four tables of the game were played. At the tea which followed, where daffodils graced the tables, the hostess was assisted by Mrs. Lewis B. McCornick and Mrs. Jasper A. McCcskell. John E. Dooly, president of the Antelope Ante-lope Island Improvement company, is planning a summer resort, with a railroad rail-road leading to it, on Antelope island. The plans are yet indefinite, but Mr. Dooly believes the scheme is feasible. Mrs. A. H. S. Bird will be home the middle of the month from several weeks spent In New York. Her sister, Miss McCornick, who was there with iter, has gone to Florida for a short stay. J. H. McCrystal is in San Francisco. Mrs. William Igleheart and sons, William and George, returned Saturday evening from Indiana. Colonel I. A. Benton of the Denver & Rio Grande spent Wednesday in Og-den. Og-den. Miss Anna McCornick is spending the month in Florida, F. E. McGurrin, president of the Salt Lake Security & Trust, was a visitor in Tooele during the week. F. J. O'Rourke of Butte is a visitor in the city. Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Murphy of Po-catello Po-catello arrived in Salt Lake this week. Ed Scallan and George J. Johnson of Tooele came to Salt Lake on Thursday. Thurs-day. Mr. Knickerbrocker. the jeweler, has removed his jewelry store from Main to 75 East Second South street. Old patrons pa-trons will note change of address. |
