Show Boston Catholic Schools. Rev. George A. Lyons, supervisor of parochial schools of the archdiocese of Boston, in his annual report just submitted sub-mitted to the archbishop, shows that buildings representing an investment of more than $2,700,000 and on which the yearly interest amounts to $135,000 are being maintained in Boston alone by the various parishes for the education of children who do not avail themselves of the public schools. It calls attention to the fact that over half a million dollars dol-lars are saved the city of Boston for the education of children by parochial schools. |
