Show Why South Dublin Was Not Won. Captain Cooper owes his election for South County Dublin to blizzard. Not within living memory was there anything any-thing to equal the intensity of the storm In the district on Friday. Badly housed, badly fed, and badly clad working men were not able to face the elements with the same impunity as the well nurtured Unionists, who had plenty of motor cars. Yet Captain Cooper only beat Alderman Cotton by sixty-six votes, and there can be little doubt that on the next occasion he will be at the foot of the poll. |
