Show EUREKA, UTAH. Requiem Mass. (Special Correspondence.) Last Sunday being the anniversary of the death of Rev. Patrick O'Donahue, former pastor, a requiem mass for the repose of his soul was said on Monday at 9 o'clock. Another mass for the same intention will' be said at the same hour on Saturday, February 26. Power of Prayer. At the 10 o'clock mass on Sunday St. Patrick's congregation enjoyed an exceptionally ex-ceptionally fine sermon on "Prayer." The beautiful illustration of the power of perseverant prayer afforded in the life of St. Monica drew tears from many eyes when the itverend speaker touchingly alluded to the Monicas of the dear Emerald Isle, who in dally prayer to heaven demand to know "where is my son?" the son who learned from his mother's lips to know and love his Creator and who promised on bended knees, before quitting the sacred soil, to remember his duty to God and his Church forever. Personal. Mrs. John Murphy, vho has been staying with her daughters in Butte City for several monthp, returned last week. The many friends of Mr. and Mrs. George Shepard sincerely sympathize with them in the loss of their beautiful baby boy, Walter Angus, whose death occurred last Sunday. Mrs. J. E. O'Connor is slowly recovering recov-ering after several weeks illness. Mrs. A. J. McPhee returned last Sunday Sun-day from Salt Lake, where she had been visiting her sister, Mrs. Hines. The brick front In the Fonnel-Shrlver business block i3 being torn out and will be rebuilt. The brick w-ork was handled han-dled by the contractors during the coldest cold-est part of the winter, and the warmer weather which followed caused the frozen fro-zen mortar to thaw ana tne front of the building settle somewhat.
