Show UNWATERING JIB MINE PROCEEDING RAPIDLY Local mining men interested in the Jib Mining company in the Basin, Montana, Mon-tana, district have received word from officials at the mine that both the Katie and the Hope mines should be unwatered to the lowest levels by October 5 Pumping started September 21 with the morning shift, and the water is coming out at the rate of 16U0 gallons a minute. The pumping Is being done through the Katie shaft. Everything Is clear down to the 300-foot level. The big pump, the air lift and the compressor are already working work-ing in good shape. The hoisting plant and the second compressor com-pressor are in place, and the hoisting of ore is expected to begin In about a week The company Is employing forty men at present Engineers from big construction companies are now on the ground going over the entire plant and having if put In shape to handle 600 tons a day The old Katie mill, which was enlarged So? uss Heinzo was running the plant and added to under Max Atwater wiL-.Pe used by the company.
