Show EXTRA SESSION. An extended session of the state legislature leg-islature is not necessary at this time and it should be the aim of the assembled as-sembled legislators to get through with their work as soon as possible. Business Busi-ness throughout tho country always picks up as soon as congress adjourns and the rule holds good in the states when the legislatures cease tinkering with the laws. Of course we could not get along without cougrcss and the legislatures leg-islatures for all time, but the fact remains re-mains that legislators, both national and stale, frequently keep the business men in a state of suspense until Hie gavel falls and adjournment takes place. Extraordinary conditions prevail throughout the world and there is much uncertainty in die United States. Congress Con-gress has many grave problems pressing for solution and does not seem to be making much headway. Reconstruction is almost, if not quite, at a 'standstill while the league debate drags along. There is a state of unrest in tho country coun-try and tho full tide of prosperity has not yet set in. Let the Utah legislators carefully consider all proposed laws anil amendments and avoid complicating tho business situation. Then the people will say "well done" at the close of the session. r |
