Show ATTACK HIDE on jm ii Employee Makes Escape After Assaulting and Robbing Owner. Special to The Tribune. OGDEN. Sept. 30. William Politseas. proprietor of the Utah cafe, is at the Dee hospital, sdffering from a severely severe-ly lacerated jaw and other injuries as the result of an attack made upon him at 2:30 o'clock this morning by a dishwasher whom he had employed a few hours pre-4 pre-4 vlously. According to the story told to the officers of-ficers at the restaurant, Politseas took the money about .. -iO from the cash register reg-ister at an early hour this morning and went to the kitchen, where he fell asleep. It was at this time that he was attacked at-tacked by the unidentified dishwasher, who struck him a severe blow In the face with an ax and, after taking the money from the pocket of the severely injured in-jured man, ran from the place. Police officers were notified of the at-' at-' tack and robbery and when the Bamberger Bam-berger train started for Salt Lake at 6:30 o'clock this morning three detectives were on board, hut left when they failed to find anybody answering the description of Polltseas's assailant. The train had not gotten out of the city limits, however, before members of the train crew, who also had the assailant's as-sailant's description, discovered him and attempted to place him under arrest. He fought them off savagely and jumped from the train. Although two shots were fired at him, he made good his escape. |
