Show oo FORMER SALT LAKER CENTER OF CONTEST Salt Lake, April 10 Joseph L. Lew-insohn, Lew-insohn, formerly a well-known Salt Lake attorney and a leader of the Progressive Pro-gressive party in this state, is tlie cen-ter cen-ter of an interesting fight in North Dakota. Mr. Lewinsohn, for nearly two years last past, had been an instructor in-structor in the law department of the University of North Dakota. Recently he declares he was compelled to resign re-sign because of his activity in tho Progressive party. Mr. Lewinsohn has left the faculty, but he proposes to make things Interesting for some of those who aro still members of the faculty, including President McVey. Mr. Lewinsohn while In Salt Lake was associated with Attorneys Booth, Lee, Badger & Rich He was one of the organizers of the Progressive party in Utah,' chairman of the committee com-mittee on resolutions at its first state convention and author of the first known here as a profound student of law and the possessor of a clear and analytical mind. He waB preparing to take an active part in the campaign of 1912 on behalf of the Progressive when he was elected to the faculty of the University of North Dakota. ( |
