Show W IS SENTENCED TO WORK Bl S EM EMOHfl Roy Bellor, a 15-year-old boy, residing resid-ing at 3925 Washington -avenue, was brought before Judge Gunnell of the juvenile court at a special -session of the court held yesterday by Officer William Reast, on a delinquency charge. The case In particular against the boy was the alleged stealing steal-ing of a pair of opera glasses. When arrested the youngster confessed con-fessed the 'theft and said that he had traded the glasses to a boy named Stalllngs for a bicycle for which he was to give 2 in addition. This statement was investigated and the officer found it to have been true,but voung Beller had not yet given Stalllngs Stall-lngs the extra $2. Stalllngs, in the meantime, had sold the glasses at the Alvord second-hand store and Officer Reast recovered them there yesterday. After considering the testimony. Judge Gunnell decided to send the youth to a farm about three miles west of the city for several months, in lieu of an industrial school sentence, sen-tence, in the hope that he might reform. re-form. He was taken there this morning. |
