Show Friday Final Day To Sign Wheat Acreage Contract Friday is the last day that farmers may sign 1957 winter wheat Acreage Reserve agreements agree-ments under the Soil Bank, Joseph Wilcken, chairman of the Duchesne Du-chesne Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation County Committee, Commit-tee, announced today. Under the 1957 winter Acreage Reserve program all farmers with wheat allotments arc eligible to sign agreements with the ASC County committee that they will harvest less than their farm allotment al-lotment of wheat in 1957. In return, re-turn, they will receive payments based on the normal per acre yield of wheat on the land placed in the Acreage Reserve multiplied by the Acreage Reserve unit for wheat at $1.07 per bushel in Duchesne Du-chesne County. Thus, if you placed 10 acres of wheat land in the 1957 Acreage Reserve Program and your normal yield per acre was 25 bushels, you would receive payment pay-ment for 250 bushels at $1.07 per bushel, a total of $267.50 chairman chair-man Wilcken explained. The farmer who normally plants wheat in the spring will have the opportunity to signup at a later date under the Acreage Reserve Program. |
