Show Church News Twelve young people of the Moon Lake Stake were baptized in the Duchesne Stake House at a baptizmal service held in conjunction con-junction with the JJuchesne Stake. From the Mt. Emmons ward, with Bishop Mecham officiating, were Valerie Hansen, Lynda Hansen and Cynthia Hartman. Others attending attend-ing the service from this ward were Mrs. Grant Hansen, Mrs. Bruce Hartman, Mrs. Lynn Hansen, Han-sen, and Norman and Paula. Four young ladies from Mtn. Home ward were among those baptized and four youngsters from Boneta ward. The YWMIA of Mt. Emmons ward has been reorganized recently recent-ly and the new officers are Florence Flor-ence Mohlman, president, Ona Rust and Delores Munsen assistants. as-sistants. On Sunday evening the MIA conducted a program at which the young women of the ward mutual were presented with awards. Those receiving awards were: Gwendolyn Chapman, Carolyn Caro-lyn Dastrup, Josephine Wall, Mary Reay, Kreen Hartman, Shirley Mc-Conkie, Mc-Conkie, Linda Mohlman, Melba Rust and Sherrie Wall. Sherrie Hartman was not present, pre-sent, so her award was received for her by her mother, Mrs. Max Hartman. A program of short talks emphasized by musical numbers num-bers was presented. Kreen, Shirley and Sheryl gave short talks on prayer. Four young men of the boy scout group, Blaine Hansen, Gary Hansen, Glade Evans and Steve Evans, sang. Rita Hansen, Reah Lambert and Dorothy Farnsworth Farns-worth sang a trio, "The Lords Prayer," Norma Hansen rendered 'Teach Me To Pray," and in closing clos-ing Linda, Melba, Sherie and Jan Farnsworth, Bee Hive girls sang their prayer song. SOCIAL ITEMS Mr. and Mrs. Walter Harmon and daughter Gloria, parents and sister of Rondo Harmon, visited at the Harmon home last weekend. week-end. Mr. and Mrs. Ed Crosby and Mr. and Mrs. Wm. R. Evans and family had Sunday dinner with Bishop Mecham and family. Mrs. Jim Thacker and new infant in-fant son arrived home from the Roosevelt hospital during the week. The baby was born on the 24th. Ferrell Mohlman of Salt Lake made a final fishing trip into the area the past week and visited with his brother, Glen and friends Mr. and Mrs. Johnny Lambert. Grant Hansen was in Salt Lake on business Thursday of last week. |
