Show Albert Collotzi Gels Call To Canadian Mission Elder Albert Collotzi, who has been called to fill a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Western Canada, will be honored at a farewell testimonial and program tomorrow Friday night, at the Roosevelt stake house. (Continued On Back Page) ALBERT COLLOTZI (Continued From Page 1) A son of Mrs. Iva Collotzi, Albert will represent the Roosevelt Fourth ward, and will enter the mission home Oct. 10, and will depart for Edmonton Canada on Oct. 17. He is a graduate of Union High School and Roosevelt Seminary, Semi-nary, classes of 1954, where he was active in athletics and student affairs. During his senior year Albert was co-captain of the Cougar football foot-ball team and was team manager of the basketball team. He also participated in track. The past two years he has been a student at the University of Utah and was a tackle on the Ute football team as a sophmore. Had he returned to the "U" this year, he was expected ex-pected to become a regular tackle. However, he elected to defer his football career and education to serve his church as a missionaryy. According to Bishop Merlin Sullivan Sul-livan the social and program honoring hon-oring Elder Collotzi will begin at 8 p.m. A dance and social will follow the program. The newly called missionary has been active in the affairs of the church all his life and has filled most of the positions in the Aaronic priesthood quorums. He has also served as a ward teacher |
