Show I LETTERS TO THE EDITOR i; Letter to the Editor: ' It has been brought to my ' attention that our "beloved" ! CEDAR THEATRE has shut ' down for repairs. I was aware i ' that a few vocal Molotovs had !j been tossed at it in the past r weeks but had no idea they "had scored a direct hit! Eur-3 Eur-3 eka! I too, feel that the selection of theatre entertainment made available to us in Cedar City is inferior to that which it COULD and SHOULD be. I have attended some very fine movies here but with far too many marquee changes I have i seen advertised and previewed , some of the most rotten mov- ies ever seen on the screen anywhere. If the almighty dollar were not the god of r theatre management we S would promptly see a notable J change. J There are tremendous films available, and if the manage-! manage-! ment of Cedar Theatre were ; interested in being of SER- VICE to the youth of this com munity, (not to mention all the rest of us), rather than SCAB on Main Street, they would put forth the effort required re-quired to obtain them. They would be willing to face the TERRIBLE RISK of decreased profits. It has been called to my attention at-tention that they tried the GOOD FAMILY MOVIES tactic before And it didn't work? IF that IS a fact, how long a trial was it given? Please tell me, just where else is there to go? It is very difficult for me to believe that there are not enough MORAL people In this community of nearly 9000, to support GOOD FAMILY MOVIES. It would appear that theatre management has judg-ed judg-ed us OVERWHELMINGLY IMMORAL! Tis a sad commentary. com-mentary. Perhaps on RE-OPENING they will also REEVALUATE! RE-EVALUATE! Hopefully, Mrs. Stanley E. O'Larey |
