Show Iron County 4-H Groups Enjoy Summer Ouiing During the past week the Iron County 4-H'ers have enjoyed en-joyed camping activities at Duck Creek. The younger group met at 1 p.m. on July 8 and broke camp on July 9. Officials for the camp were: Richard Bauir, mayoi ; Karen Cripps, Mayorette; and Flora Halterman, scribe. Skit winners win-ners were "The Merry Meas-urcttcs," Meas-urcttcs," first place; "Blooming "Bloom-ing Biscuits," second place; "Stitehettes," third place; "Jolly Bellies" and "Little Kettle Ket-tle Sewers" each received honorable mention. Personal Identification winners win-ners were: first, "Stitehettes," econd, "Blooming Biscuits," -hjid, "Chip Dips," and honorable honor-able mention, "Lemon Lime .lollipops" and "Little Kettl.3 oewers." Clean camp winners were: Jrst, "Lemon Lime Lollipops," second, "Merry Mixing Mis-..es," Mis-..es," third, "Chip Dips," and honorable mention, ' Merry i Measurettes" and "Blooming Biscuits," Marilyn Stucki and Marilyn Mari-lyn Morris won first place in the Lummi Stick contest. In second place were Debra Bauer Bau-er and Deanna Imlay; third went to Jill Anderson and ' Vicki Heaton with Lori Schram j and Mary Romberger placing fourth, Karen Cripps and Cindy Cin-dy Kay Prisbrey fifth and De-bra De-bra Bulloch and Peggy Paddock, Pad-dock, sixth. A tug-of-war across Duck Creok climaxed the events of the older camp. The camp activities were under the direction of the Utah State University Extension agents Wallace Sjoblom and Marva Esplln. |
