Show Miss Iron County Beauty Pageant Set Friday Night Iron County's three-day Fair will be initiated at the Miss Iron County Beauty Pageant to be held in Cedar City on Friday evening Auqr. 30, according ac-cording to Cliff Porter, president presi-dent of the Cedar City Jaycees Who will sponsor the affair. Clark Graff is Pageant chairman chair-man with the Jay-Cettes to handle the applications for , Miss Iron County and the stage decorations for the pageant, pag-eant, Mr. Porter said. The Ce dar High School auditorium will provide the scene for the entertiinment, he added. All young ladies between the ages of 17 and 27, inclusive, inclus-ive, who are single and who are residents of Iron County are eligible to enter the con test, it is announced. They will be entered and governed by the same rules which are used in the Miss Utah State Fair contest. These include the appearance in a swim suit, in formal attire, and to present a talent number. Participants will also meet with the judges at an informal tea, and be interviewed in-terviewed on stage on a number num-ber of subjects. Winner will receive a $100 scholarship and enjoy an expense paid trip to Salt Lake City to compete for the Miss Utah State Fair title. Miss Colleen Piatt, 1967-68 Miss Iron County, will crown her successor.
