Show ARCADIA Mrs. Elsie Bird Goes With Navy To Pearl Harbor Thomas Larsen, son of Mr. and Mrs. James Larsen, left Wednesday for San Francisco, where he will make a two-week cruise to Pearl Harbor as a member of the Naval Reserve. Mr. and .Mrs. Marion Ross, Larry and Lanny Ross. Mrs. Shirley Mecham and daughter, Carolann, have returned from a vacation trip to Southern Utah, Arizona, Colorado and Mexico. Mr. and Mrs. Hale Holga'e returned Thursday from a trip to Wichita, Kansas, where they took Mrs. Rose Gilbert to visit her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Edsel Murphy. Mr. and Mrs. Loryn Ross and family ' spent the weekend at Salt Lake visiting Mrs. Ross' parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leland Hair. Mr. and Mrs. Clair Duncan, of Neola, accompanied by Delaine and Mildred Bird, went to Salt Lake Wednesday of last week. While there they attended the July 24 rodeo and parade. Clarine and Douglas Duncan visited with their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Bird while their parents were in Salt Lake City. Mrs. Duncan visited with her parents Friday. Mr. and Mrs. Mont Keller, of Salt Lake, visited Sunday at the home of his nephew, Mr. and Mrs. Morgan Keller. Mr. and Mrs. Thomas M. Gilbert Gil-bert and daughters, Naomi, Martha Mar-tha and Mildred, Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Bird and daughter, De-on, De-on, Mr. and Mrs. Legrand Gilbert, Gil-bert, Clairine and Douglas Duncan, Dun-can, and Rosalee Gilbert attended attend-ed the July 24 celebration at Duchesne Thursday. Mr. and Mrs Marion Ross accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Wan-less Wan-less Shields, of Bridgeland to Tabiona, Sunday evening. Susan and Sandra Labrum, of Roosevelt, spent the weekend at the home of their grandparents, grandpar-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Marion Ross, while their parents were in Salt Lake. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Hor-rocks Hor-rocks took their son, Evan, to Salt Lake Tuesdays for medical attention. Mrs. Golda Jensen spent Tuesday Tues-day in Salt Lake City, where she received medical treatment. Mr. and Mrs. Alma Richens, of Salt Lake, are visiting at the home of Alma's grandmother, Mrs1. Cynthia Larsen. Mr. and Mrs. Lowell Richens visited at the home of Henry Richens and Mr. and Mrs. Cliff McKenna one day during the week. Visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Scott Lusty during' the week were Mrs. Lusty's uncle, James Evans, of Kamas, and her cousin, Walter Evans, of Salt Lake, Mr. and Mrs. Mont Williams, Mrs. Marie Roper ana George Evans and Miss Mary Evans, of Upalco. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Shields and girls, Bishop E. J. Nixon, of Roosevelt, and Ramona Niel-son, Niel-son, of Myton, were recent visitors vis-itors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Marvin G. Shields. Mr. and Mrs. Scott Lusty and family were dinner guests Sunday Sun-day at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Verl Roper, of Upalco. Mr. and. Mrs. Jack Gilbert and family visited in Duchesne Sunday, at the home of Mr. Gilbert's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Porter Merrell. Speakers in Sacrament meeting meet-ing Sunday night were Elsie Bird, Golda Jensen and Bob Higgins.. Bob Higgins, of Tabiona. visited vis-ited his sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Gilbert, Gil-bert, on Sunday. |
