Show To Spend Two Days . . . . Uintah Basin To Host Utah Young Farmers Un Aug. 22, 23 Under the direction of the executive committee of the Uintah Uin-tah Basin Young Farmers organization, organ-ization, of which Orval Gillen, of Myton, is chairman, plans are underway to entertain Young Farmer chapters throughout Utah on a tour of the Basin August 22-23. Present plans call for the group, perhaps 200 or more, to spend the first day, August 22, in Vernal, coming to Roosevelt where they will be directed on a tour of Duchesne County the second day. Uintah County will offer their program the first day. Agricultural and industrial highlights of the Basin will be the obiects of the tour. A film on the proposed Echo iPark project is scheduled for the first night at Vernal. Three active and one disorganized disor-ganized chapters, under the leadership of their presidents, are aiding the tour. Roland Merkley is president of the Vernal Ver-nal chapter; Paule Foote. Roosevelt, Roose-velt, and Joe Claybuxn, of Bridgeland, heads the Duchesn: chapter. Altamont at the present is disorganized, but is assisting in the project. Others on the executive committee com-mittee in addition to Mr. Gillen Gil-len and the three presidents are Sharron Cummings, Roosevelt; Roose-velt; Ray Udy, L. L. Cook, Doyle Landon, Vernal; Allan Bond, Duchesne; Tal Wardle, Neola; Darrell Goodrich, La-point; La-point; Max Hartman and Ross Berrett, Mt. Emmons. |
