Show Fair Animals To Be Tested c Before Showing Certain tests must be made on animals to be exhibited at the Duchesne County Fair on Sept. 5-6 in order for them to be eligible as a fair entry. County Coun-ty Agent Louis Jensen advises. August 20 is the deadline date to notify the county agent so that appointments may be made with the veterinarian in order that the Bangs test can be made prior to fair time. Following is a quotation from the fair premium list in connection con-nection with the rules governing govern-ing livestock entries: " All bovine animals over six months of age must conform to the state law relative to gather-ering gather-ering of animals for exhibition purposes. This law reads 'All dairy and beef breeding stock over six months of age must pass a negative test for contagious conta-gious abortion within 60 days prior to the exhibit.' " Certificates showing a negative nega-tive test' must be presented to the livestock attendant when the animal, or animals, are entered at the fair grounds, Mr. Jensen said. |
