Show Loren G. Leavitt Services Monday Loren G. Leavitt, 25, saw-1 mill operator, died in a Salt Lake hospital Thursday afternoon, after-noon, July 24, following a three' week illness. He was born June 23, 1927, at Hayden, a son of George- A. and Margaret C. Prescott Leavitt. Lea-vitt. He was raised in Hayden and graduated from the Roosevelt Roose-velt Seminary and from the South Summit High School at Kamas, where he had resided during the past eight years. Ho served with the U. S. Navy fnv two years following the close of World War II. Mr. Leavitt was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He married Delma P. Atkinson at Francis, Summit County, on Jan. 19, 1952. He is survived by his widow, Kamas; his parents, Hayden; and the following brothers and sisters: sis-ters: Dale Leavitt, Kamas; Mrs. Mildred Allred, Salt Lake City; Jack Leavitt, Mrs. Alvira Bas-tian, Bas-tian, Mrs. Marvel Malnar and Mrs. Mary Gardner, all of Neola. Funeral services were held in Kamas Monday at 2 p. m. A cottage meeting was held Sunday at the power plant. In attendance1 were Zola Spencer, Bishop W. K. Dye, Louise Nick-ell, Nick-ell, Mr. and Mrs. Thurman Peterson Pet-erson and Ira Pace. E. E. Jenkins, of Park City, was here Saturday on business. Rayma Gardner is convalescing convales-cing at the Roosevelt Hospital. She was operated on Tuesday for appendicitis and complications complica-tions resulting from the automobile automo-bile wreck she was in two months ago. Mr. and Mrs. Charley Roller are the proud grandparents of a baby son born recently to Mr. and Mrs. Edward Yack, of Roosevelt. Roos-evelt. Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Stevenson Steven-son and baoy, of Salt Lake City, were weekend guests of Thad Wilkerson. Mrs. Othea Wamsley returned Friday from Salt Lake City, where she has been working. Leah Gale Duncan came with her to spend the weekend here with her parents. Roy Taylor, Vernal city manager, man-ager, was here on business last week and visited with his son. Reed Taylor. Louise Nickell, who has completed com-pleted a mission in California, is visiting ' here with her sister Margaret Mitchell. Leah Elmer, daughter of Raymond Ray-mond Elmer, of Ogden, is staying- here with her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Prescott, of Hayden, for the summer. Mr. and Mrs. Rodney Ford, of Provo ' were weekend visitors vis-itors at the Charley " Crozier home. Mrs. Katie Peterson has returned re-turned from California, where ! she has been visiting with her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Larsen, who is i serving with the Air Force, j They are parents of a new baby j daughter. ' ' Gene McConkie has returned to Richmond, Cal&firnia, after visiting with his grandmother, Samantha Peterson. He worked at the Peterson Service Station while the Petersons went back to Detroit for a new Hudson. Mr. and Mrs. Emmerson Root , and family, who have been living liv-ing in Salt Lake, are again living liv-ing here in the Paul Nelson house. Mrs. Root has been teaching teach-ing in Kamas the past two year?, j She is the daughter of Mr. and; I Mrs. R. Gardner, of Hayden. |
