Show Carriage Vows Exchanged At Home Ceremony Marriage vows were exchanged exchang-ed Sunday at 4:30 p. m. by Mirs Arita Penfield, daughter of Mr. jand Mrs. Verdon Penfield, and Melvin J. Evans, son of Mr and Mrs. Hyrum Evans, of Sail Lake City. The ceremony was performed at the home of the bride's parents by Hollis G. Hul-linger, Hul-linger, president of the Roosevelt Roose-velt LDS Stake. Profusions of pink and white gladioli adorned the room where the wedding took place. The bride was lovely in a white organdy ballerina-length dress trimmed in yellow anc; designed de-signed with a rounded neckline, cap sleeves and full gathered skirt. Her corsage was a single I orchid. I Attending the bride as maid I of honor was her sister, Miss I Genevieve Penef ield, who wore I a white and gold knit dress and i a baby orchid corsage. ! Mother of the bride was attired at-tired in a black and peach gown, and the groom's mother chose : a navy blue dress. Both had I baby orchid corsages. 1 Acting as best man for the I occasion was Vaughn Spencer, i Following the wedding ceremony, cere-mony, the newlyweds were complimented com-plimented at a buffet luncheon, attended by close relatives of both families. The bride and groom left immediately im-mediately afterward for a honeymoon hon-eymoon trip to Rockv Springs Resort, Colorado. When they return, the new Mrs. Evans wiil be honored at two showers, one Friday night for relatives, and one the following night at the home of the groom's parents. The young couple will make a home in Long Beach, California, Cali-fornia, where Mr Evans is stationed sta-tioned with the U. S. armed i service. i . |
