Show LETTER POSTAGE 3c AFTER JULY 6, 1932 In accordance with a recent order ' amending the Postal Laws & Regu-' lations, ON AND AFTER JULY 6, j 1932, the postage rate for letters anil j all other matter of the first class will j be at the rate of 3 cents an ounce or j fraction thereof, except on postal cards and post cards. No change in the rate on postal , cards, private mailing cards or post cards, no letters for local delivery at : offices not having letter carrier ser-, vice. ! It is of the utmost importance that1 every patron of the postal service be- j come familiar with the increased rats of postage on first class matter as stated above, as failure to prepay the ' dispatch and delivery of mail, cause confusion and inconvenience and impose im-pose upon the postal service a lot of unnecessary labor and expense. Any addition information will be gladly given if patrons will inquire at the i Post Office. I In this connection it is also called , to the attention of patrons that the j rate of postage to foreign countries has been raised in a number of cases, I and all countries where the two cent rate was in effect are now either 3 cents or 5. Effective on July 6th, also al-so the rate for air mail will be 8 cents for the first ounce and 13 cents for each additional ounce. |
