Show HOT WEATHER DRAW MANY TO MILFORD'S POPULARPLUNGE Attendance shows Increase over Last Season; Improvements Being Made Temperature in Milford varying from warm to hot the past week has made the local swimming pool a popular po-pular resort. Large crowds have enjoyed en-joyed the splendid plunge throughout the warm days and evening-. LaVar Voorhies, attendant at the pool reports: an average daily attendance atten-dance of between fifty and sixty, which is an increase in attendance over the same period of last season. Today the Primary children have been given a special rate and about sixty youngsters will enjoy themselves themselv-es in the pool. The water is kept in fine condition, and received the official okay from the State Sanitary Inspector who visited here Tuesday. An improvement is underway at the plunge at present by the addition addi-tion of eight-foot platform along the east side of the plunge. This at present pre-sent will be used by the spectators and latter, as necessity demands .additional .ad-ditional bath houses will be built along the platform. The work is being be-ing done mostly by donation labor. |
