Show SPIRITUAL HEALING EMPHASIZED The Discoverer and Founder of The Christian Science movement defines de-fines Christian Science, "As the law of God, the law of good, interpreting in-terpreting and demonstrating the divine Principle and rule of universal uni-versal harmony." In the Lesson-Sermon, Lesson-Sermon, Sunday, entitled 'Christian 'Chris-tian Science", the practical value of the law of God is indicated by a Biblical citation from St. Luke (4:18): . . . "He hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering re-covering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised." A passage from "Science and Health with Kev to the Scriptures" (P. 114), by Mary Baker Eddy, corroborates cor-roborates the foregoing Scriptural passage. It reads: "Christian Science Sci-ence explains all cause and effect as mental, not physical ... It shows the scientific relation of man to God, disentangles the interlaced ambiguities of being, and sets free the imprisoned thought." |
